Medical-grade silicones have been clinically proven to be one of the most successful at-home scar treatments for a number of scar types, including acne, hypertrophic, burn scars, and keloids, as well as surgical scars, such as cesarean scars.
1. Medical Grade Silicones
Silicones have been used to treat scars for more than 30 years. Its use is not limited to plastic surgeons and healthcare professionals. Everybody knows the secret of medical-grade silicone to soften, flatten, and fade the appearance of scars, easily in the comfort of your home.
Silicones are polymers of repeating units of siloxane, a chain of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms that are often united with hydrogen and carbon. When applied to scars, it triggers the following actions:
- Enhance Hydration of Stratum Corneum - Medical-grade silicone improves the hydration level of the upper layer of the skin and visibly smoothens texture. In addition, it facilitates the regulation of fibroblast production and reduces collagen production to allow your skin to breathe, thus resulting in a softer and flatter scar.
- Balance Expression of Growth Factors - Some growth factors promote collagen synthesis while others cause the breakdown of excess collagen. Medical-grade silicone balances the action of growth factors helping to normalize collagen synthesis.
- Prevent Bacterial Invasion - Silicone protects scar tissues against bacterial invasion.
2. Oxygenated Purified Water
Oxygenated purified water is another top ingredient of our Scar Support Treatment. It aids in scar healing, reduces swelling, and bathes the scar with oxygen. When the oxygen concentration in tissue increases, it disables the entry of toxins from certain bacteria and so prevents infection. Oxygenated purified water encourages the development of new collagen and healthier skin cells.
3. Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid normalizes the action of growth factor signals, promotes natural collagen deposition, reduces scar size, and encourages epithelialization. In addition, hyaluronic acid has skin soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, reducing swelling while moisturizing skin.
4. Aloe Oil
Aloe oil is an amazing natural ingredient that incredibly reduces inflammation, enhances wound contraction and epithelialization, decreases the size of the scar, and increases the alignment and organization of regenerated scar tissue.
5. Japanese Green Tea
Japanese green tea was traditionally used in Japan to heal scars and wounds. It penetrates into the skin, soothes irritation, reduces redness, and aids in fading scars.
CoQ10 is a potent antioxidant that protects the skin at the molecular level from the damaging effects of free radicals. It encourages quick skin repair, boosts collagen production, and keeps the cells active.
7. Vitamin A through E
Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E are added to our Scar Support Treatment to take this product to the next level. Vitamin A aids in the formation of new blood vessels in the scar, Vitamin B complex balances your scar, Vitamin C assists in collagen remodeling, Vitamin D reduces inflammation, and Vitamin E moisturizes the skin to speed up the healing process.

Scar Treatment Before and After Pictures
38-year-old female who had a suspicious lesion deeply frozen (cryotherapy) at a dermatologist. The midline chest area is very prone to hypertrophic scarring and she was concerned she would get a thick scar. She started using our product 10 days after her procedure. The pictures shown are 10 days, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, and 6 months after her surgery. She is very happy with her results and sent us these pictures via email. We encourage all our patients to send us pictures to show their healing and progression with our natural scar product. We would be happy to provide free scar products for anyone interested in joining any of our clinical studies.
59 year old male before, 3 days, 4 weeks, and 6 months after injury of his right forehead. Patient went to the emergency room with flap avulsion and lacerations, and was sutured and stapled in the emergency room by an ER physician. He then saw Dr Speron in clinic and started the Scar Support Treatment. Patient was offered laser treatment, but refused. Patient is very happy with the progress and scarring even though at his 1st visit, he was quite upset and anxious. On the final picture, the scar did heal a bit wide, and he is a candidate for a scar revision, but did not want this. Please remember that scar products cannot really change the final width of a scar from surgery sutures. Final width is determined by the inside stitches done by plastic surgeons.
20 year old female before 11 months after shave excision of left mons (pubic area) seborrheic keratosis. This is an epidermal lesion which means it is 100% outside the skin and can be safely removed with just a shave excision. Most of these do not result in any scarring. Patient also started using our Scar Support Product two weeks after her procedure. She did not have any laser treatments.
47 year old one day after removal of a benign mass on the chest. You can also see the progression of the scar maturation and healing with using our natural Scar Support Treatment. The pictures show the four week, three month, four month, and six month postoperative pictures.
17-year-old female who had acne scarring of her left sideburn. She started using our product six days later. You can see the progression of her scar and maturation 4, 8, 12 & 18 weeks after using scar support treatment. Evidently, the dramatic improvement was accomplished with only our product with no other treatments. The patient had no laser therapy or other medical or over-the-counter treatments on her scar.
27 year old African American male with burn to nasal tip shown 1 day after injury, 1 week after injury and 1 month after injury. Patient did not have any surgery or laser treatments. Patient only used Bacitracin antibiotic ointment twice a day for the 1st week and and then Dr. Speron’s Natural Skin Care Scar Support Treatment twice a day after that. Patient was lost to follow up so no further pictures are taken.
47 year-old female with removal of left midface actinic keratosis (pre-cancer). Afterwards, she started our natural Scar Support Treatment 1 week after her surgery and you can see the progression on the anterior and oblique views 1 week after surgery, 2 months and 3 months after her surgery. She had no other treatments for her wound or scar.
54 year old before and 6 months after scar revision of an unattractive scar on his lateral upper lip/nasolabial folds area. He was unhappy and missing a natural hair pattern even though he had hair plugs and hair restoration surgery elsewhere to try to improve it. He was still unhappy with the scar width, the redness and the irregular hair pattern. He underwent a 15 minute scar revision in the office under local anesthesia and is very happy with the results. After surgery, he only used the natural Scar Support Treatment for 3 months.
